چکیده

When drilling or exploiting fractured formations, gas fluid displacement and invasion often occur, is very subtle difficult to find. The in the fracture enters wellbore arrives near wellhead with fluid. Improper treatment may lead serious accidents such as lost circulation blowout. In this study, using computational dynamics (CFD) simulation software for modeling grid generation, based on volume of (VOF) method, behavior under different conditions was simulated explore flow process characteristics invasion, effects properties morphology were analyzed. experimental results show that compress gas, making pressure greater than wellbore, thus leading occurrence invasion. viscosity density have process. higher viscosity, smaller possibility However, when gradually increases from 10–50 MPa·s, change rate small, all within 1.0–1.2 m/s. density, more conducive inlet has no obvious effect time fluctuates 0.35 s at 0.5–2.5 MPa. With increase width length, decreases, but there an extreme value height. does not beyond value. height 100–700 mm, height; 700–900 change. These provide a practical effective method enhancing oil recovery, preventing treating gas–liquid flooding.

Unsteady-State Behavior of Naturally Fractured Reservoirs

A simplified model was employed to develop mathematically equations that describe the unsteadystate behavior of naturally fractured reservoirs, The analysis resulted in an equation of flow of radial symmetry whose solution, for the infinite case, is identical in form and function to that describing the unsteady-state behavior of homogeneous reservoirs. Accepting the assumed model, for all pract...

Characterization of Liquid Bridge in Gas/Oil Gravity Drainage in Fractured Reservoirs

Gravity drainage is the main mechanism which controls the oil recovery from fractured reservoirs in both gas-cap drive and gas injection processes. The liquid bridge formed between two adjacent matrix blocks is responsible for capillary continuity phenomenon. The accurate determination of gas-liquid interface profile of liquid bridge is crucial to predict fracture capillary pressure precisely. ...

Analysis of flow behavior in fractured lithophysal reservoirs.

This study develops a mathematical model for the analysis of pressure behavior in fractured lithophysal reservoirs. The lithophysal rock is described as a tri-continuum medium, consisting of fractures, rock matrices, and cavities. In the conceptual model, fractures have homogeneous properties throughout and interact with rock matrices and cavities that have different permeabilities and porositi...

Foam Application in Fractured Carbonate Reservoirs: A Simulation Study

Fractured carbonate reservoirs account for 25% of world’s total oil resources and for 90% of Iranian oil reserves. Since calcite and dolomite minerals are oil wet, gas oil gravity drainage (GOGD) is known as the most influencing production mechanism. The most important issue within gas injection into fractured media is the channeling problem which makes the efficiency of gas injection process e...
